<Benevolent> is a mature, social, and interactive guild. Our raiding core consists of players who are passionate about their class, yet have adult lives and responsibilities. We endeavor to
so that we might enjoy progression and content while maintaining a balance between our lives and the game, or the want for freedom to enjoy other things of choice but with good people and smart players (we recognize a difference). Our professional raiding schedule is: 5:30-8:00pm (PST) M, W, Th, and Sun, 10 hours of 25 player raiding total. All told, we accomplish our goals by investing in our individuals who invest in keeping raids successful through personal research and objectivity. Our compressed raiding schedule means pulling at raid start (5:30), following clear goals, breaking when critical objectives are met and providing for a total enjoyable raid experience.
This is the fastest way to get an application seen and is less complicated than fumbling around with creating a forum account. By sending your application via email, it will be posted for privately within our recruitment section of our forum which only members of <Benevolent> can view. If we are interested, we will contact you for a Ventrilo interview. If we are not, we will contact you out of respect for your time invested with us. Either way, we will normally contact you within 1-5 days of when the application was submitted. Please ensure you are easily contactable by including your email address on the application. ** Make sure you log out in your raiding gear ! **
week trial period. While on trial, you will accrue DKP like any other player, but will NOT be eligible for item drops over a full member in the event DKP doesn't already decide that. We will make every effort to get you into as many raids as possible during your trial - but please note that depending on your gear and experience level, it may be necessary to have you on standby for certain boss encounters.
The key to passing trial here is to perform well in raids (knowing your class and role, playing to your strengths, situational awareness, preparedness, and flexibility) and to be interactive with our guild outside of normal raid times (chat and activities). During your trial period, <Benevolent> members will comment on your application with any feedback that they have - positive or negative - and this feedback is the deciding factor on whether or not you are a good fit for our community.

8. Please provide a screen shot or a link to your raiding user-interface AND / OR rate your level of situational awareness and command of your player character from the following - whichever applies to you best (remove the options that do not suit you; make a note if you feel you lie between two options):
(A) Rarely or never dies to frost bombs, twilight cutters, fire or other situational awareness centric gimmicks; mouse turns/moves or uses a keyboard/mouse hybrid style for movement; expert at strafing; uses key-binds on all functions or at least all critical spells/abilities; point and click usage is as minimal as mechanics allow.
(B) Adapts over time to frost-bombs, fire, mal goo' etc. Uses hybrid keyboard, familiar with strafing, mouse, and varying degrees of point and click interaction for in-game control of character and elements. Uses key-binds only for highly used spells/abilities.
(C) Has trouble avoiding frost bombs, meteor strikes and running out of blistering cold. Uses arrow or W, A, S, D keys to move character. Points and clicks to activate all spells and abilities. Innocently wasn't aware that the Q and E functions are "strafe" commands and that using "S" to back peddle moves at a slower speed then any other directional movement key.
